Police charge 16-year-old

A 16-year-old youth has been charged with a string of offences after complaints received by Echuca police from members of the public.

The youth is alleged to have been riding a trail bike on Echuca streets on Saturday night.

Following complaints made by residents, police intercepted the trail bike in Bowen St.

The youth was charged with riding an unregistered motorbike, being unlicensed, exceeding the legal blood alcohol concentration and avoiding police.

A 45-year-old woman and a 17-year-old youth have been cautioned following a shoplifting incident on Wednesday.

The woman and youth, both from Echuca, had taken underwear from Coles supermarket.
